User Interface (UI) Architecture Metodology

Our methodology behind our 5 phases is simple. We take the time to learn about our clients, their goals and their customers’ expectations of the future or pre-existing web offerings. Through the following 5 steps, we ensure the expectations of both the client and their customers are met.

1. Discovery
  • User Research
The user research study analyzes the user’s needs and/or goals of the people who will be using the application. This process focuses exclusively on the users are and what their needs are for the application.

  • Site Objectives
The site objectives identify what the site will accomplish. We also identify brand identity as well as what success metrics need to be tracked to ensure the sites objectives and user needs are a success.
2. Structure
  • Architecture Diagram
An architectural diagram is built outlining the conceptual relationships between all the various sections of the application. This diagram also displays how the steps in a given interaction sequence fit together, such asa shopping cart.

The main goal of the architecture diagram is to address all large-scale architecture issues and interaction.
3. Site Skeleton

The goal of the site skeleton, also known as a wireframe, is to build a skeleton of all major pages or page template types. The wireframe outline logo placement, navigation schemes, form placement and other major elements or areas on a screen. A wireframe is assembled for every major page type within the application.

4. Visual Design

In the visual design phase, a finalized layout is put together. This is a one screen rendition of how the final application will appear. This design will incorporate logos, colors, fonts, navigation, buttons and all other elements that define the style or “look and feel” of the application.

5. Design Implementation

The implementation phase involves taking the approved site design and building it into working HTML and CSS code and implementing it into the final application.
