System Migrations

Optimus System Migration Services provide you with years of experience in planning and identifying the tasks and issues involved in system upgrades, for both software and hardware migrations. Optimus will work with you to migrate from your current system to the new hardware with minimal downtime or interruption to your business.

iSeries Migration Services:

• Plan, configure and map out migration methodology, including server capacities and migration schedule
• Document OS and hardware migration including backing up the current system
• Install and configure iSeries software
• Restore and verify that system utilities are operational
• Provide installation record and staff training

pSeries Migration Services:

• Plan and map current environment against migration system to determine necessary hardware and software configurations
• For LPAR, migrate AIX on existing LPARs, including upgrades as needed
• Create and install additional LPARs as needed
• Verify proper function of AIX on LPAR
• Provide implementation documentation and staff training
